Hello, I've finally managed to join! I'll start with an appeal for missing bits for my flat tanker, any rear carrier or fork parts kicking about? It's frustratingly close to ending my days with a comedy braking system!
I went to look at a 1918 for sale, bloke had owned it since early 70's, when I asked him what it was like to ride, it turned out he had never ridden it!
Hmmm, dont expect too much from the front, it's simple pivot action dooms it to failure but the rear has a parallelogram operation that was good enough to lock my 350's rear wheel...well, in the dry. Been out on my old Blackburne this week. Stirrup front, vee belt rear. Quite entertaining the way they slow you down but won't stop you, like the bike is prepared to help but won't do it all for you. Look ahead! Good luck! rick
